Dennis Michael Busch was born and spent the early years of his life in Minnesota. In 1996, Dennis moved with his family to Southern Utah, and he graduated from Hurricane High School in 2004.
In high school, Dennis became involved in drug prevention education through the Governor’s Youth Council and the Utah Student Safety Program, serving on the latter’s state board. Continuing his passion for drug resistance education, Dennis formed Prevention Consulting Associates with fellow USSP board members. PCA presenters, including Dennis, have coordinated conferences and presentations throughout the western United States to dozens of clubs in many school districts from Utah to California.
Following high school, Dennis attended Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. At SUU, he was employed as an Orientation Leader for the Student Success Center. He went on to become a Resident Assistant for the Housing and Residence Life program and was eventually promoted to Residence Hall Director, supervising a staff of 9 RAs and over 300 residents in his state-of-the-art facility.
At SUU, Dennis has been heavily involved with the SUU Student Association, serving in various potions in the President's Cabinet and representing his college as a Senatore, being named Senator of the Year in 2006.
In 2007, Dennis was selected out of numerous candidates for an internship with United States Senator and Majority Leader, Harry Reid. He served the majority in the Democratic Communications Center working on high-profile press events and with top media outlets including NPR, CNN and Fox News.
Dennis graduated in 2010 with his bachelor’s degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and minors in Political Science and Business Management. Following graduation, Dennis served as Special Events Coordinator for Southern Utah’s Alumni Relations office writing for the magazine SUU In View and working on large-scale events. He also serves as Special Project Coordinator & Communication Director for the Michael O. Leavitt Center for Politics and Public Service, overseeing communication and grant execution efforts.
Dennis currently works as Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the world-renowned Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he currently resides.
